It says it's good for 6 people. I'm curious if that means 6 devices (laptop, PC, etc)?

Might just be simpler (and less expensive) to use LibreOffice or Google Docs.

To those that may be confused on how to extend a current subscription... After purchasing, click on "Activate Software", follow the links and you'll be taken to the microsoft/office website to sign in. It will go through a few steps and verify who you are, then it will automatically add 1 year onto the end of your current subscription...

Don’t do it. For staid software like MS Office, the subscription model forces you to continue emptying your wallet month after month, year after year.

When otherwise, you can still (for now) buy a one-time cost license and use it for years.

And when Microsoft finally attempts to shut-off onetime fee licenses, it will be time to switch to an only slightly inferior competitor.

Six people and five devices per person (so 30 devices total). Authentication is per person using their Microsoft account.

To provide context, the cloud subscription is a recurring licensing fee. Alternatively, you can purchase Office 2019 which is a one time fee. The only "drawback" of the 2019 purchase vs 365 is you do not get the 1TB of cloud storage (OneDrive).

This is good for people that already subscribe to O365. Normal 1 yr subscription is $100. So the deal comes out to be $50 for additional year of O365 and $50 to spend on

I purchased two of these today, I am getting two $50 gift certificates in the mail so I'm paying $100 total for two years.

Here is where it gets a little complicated. You have to buy one, activate it (see post by jsfoster on how to do that) then turn off the auto-renew at 's subscription site. Then go buy another one and go through the process again.

Amazon will show you having two of the same subscriptions expiring in 2021, basically appearing that you have double purchased simultaneously running licenses (not good).... However, Microsoft correctly shows the subscription going through 2022, I confirmed through MS chat that the licenses stacked and it goes through 2022, so if you use this service this is a smokin deal! And thoerattically ou could keep stacking licenses today while the deal is on.
