15% off is pretty good. I don't know if I have ever seen a bigger discount for their gift cards. seems to run this deal once or twice a year. I was able to pair this deal with a 15% cashback credit card promo, then add a Hotels.com coupon code. Sometimes you can also pair a coupon with a cashback rewards site, like Mypoints or Topcashback (there are dozens). After a while, you're saving some pretty decent money on hotels.
