Can someone help me confirm my question regarding Fortnite on Xbox X? Sorry, I'm from the generation of Intellivision, Colecovision, and Sega Genesis.
Can you play Fortnite on Xbox X without the Xbox Live subscription? My son who's now 9 upgrade his Nintendo Switch to Xbox who was able to play Fortnite for free on the Switch.
It's easier and straightforward to buy a game or even download it online but spending $120 for Xbox Live for each year to play this game is damn expensive.
Nearly everything requires an account - all online play (matchmaking), including free games, requires Xbox Live Gold. How exactly are you paying $120 per year? Sounds like you gave up your credit card info and pay monthly instead of paying once for a full year. If you pre-pay a full year it's $60 retail. Don't pay full retail. I can typically find a year for $35-45, but those deals are more scarce currently.
