For those who don't realize the timeliness of this deal, a common problem when one brings in outdoor plants to overwinter them is lack of natural predators inside so there is often an explosion of aphids or whiteflies that need dealt with.
Does anyone else just want these for the hell of it? Just to release them inside to have 1500 new friends around. I guess I'm meant to live in a jungle.
I went for this deal last time it was around (it's been on here a few times). I released mine into the garden. . . after the first few hours they began to leave the area and off they went into the sky, never to be seen again. So, if they want to stick around, they will. Or if you have enough food for them (ie aphids and other bugs). Otherwise into the wild they go.

I think there is another deal that sells you 1.5m aphids and other bugs to keep these guys around. Keep looking
Ladybugs are not, repeat not, the invasive annoying Asian lady beetles that swarm and bite. The invasive ones are erroneously called ladybugs. The ladybugs for sale are rather endangered, they eat bugs and do not plague you inside your home. Ladybugs have about seven spots compared with the more numerous spots on Asian lady beetles. They are also a friendlier shade of orange. Look in older children's picture books or at diffen dot com to see a comparison. The idea of buying ladybugs in quantity is to reintroduce them and force out the invasive Asian lady beetle. The hard part is to keep most of them for yourself. The true ladybug is usually seen (when it is seen at all nowadays) all alone, one at a time, hardly ever in a group. They are slow-moving and rather sweet, for what it's worth. Our local cooperative extension sells them and is encouraging people to introduce them to their yards.
