Five Charming Futurama Propaganda Posters

By on June 17, 2013

Our love for the Futurama Fry meme is definitely evident in our Shut Up and Take My Money series. Of course, we will take a great “Why Not, Zoidberg?” joke or an “I Don’t Want to Live on This Planet Anymore” reference any 28-hour day of the week.

Developed by graphic designer Barry Doyon, this collection of propaganda posters takes a handful of Futurama characters and uses the classic ’40s and ’50s design for influential, patriotic posters. Characters depicted within this set of illustrations include Leela, Bender, the greeting card robot, a citizen of Neutropolis, Captain Zapp Brannigan, Kif Kroker and everyone’s favorite Decapodian, Dr. John A. Zoidberg.

You can check out the rest of Doyon’s portfolio here, but it’s mostly business related rather than geeky illustrations. Take a look at the five gorgeous Futurama propaganda posters below:

Futurama Propaganda Poster: Bender's revolution with the Mother's Day greeting card robot

Leela If We have to poster

Futurama Propaganda: A citizen of Neutropolis "Live Free or Don't"

Cpt. Zapp Branigan and second mate Kif recruiting poster

Why Not Zoidberg? Dr. John A. Zoidberg in the classic Obama Hope poster design

Which one is your favorite? Which character would you like to see in a new batch of posters?

I am very interested in purchasing a full-size print of the Bender ‘Revolution’ poster. If there is any way that I can buy one from you, please let me know so that we can negotiate a price and method of payment.
