I have an identical pack with the shoulder straps that are adjustable at both the tops and bottoms of the straps. The top adjustment locations are a terrible design and none of these backpacks are any better than any of the others. Regardless of how these tops are woven through the D-loops, they always loosen up which is VERY frustrating. Chose a pack with fixed tops and adjustable bottoms and you'll be much happier.
