Nice blue cap to reduce lumens. Why get a cheap 35Watt HID kit when you can get this which uses 55watts and produces way more heat because it's less efficient? I'm sure you can even refill it with halogen fluid.
^HID retrofits may not pass inspection in certain places. And if ever otherwise noticed for being too bright or not allowed can get a ticket.
I have them in a 2005 SAABaru (9-2x) and the headlights were made for HIDs 12 years ago, I even pointed them down and passed inspection in NYC which has one of the harshest inspections plus I have 55watt HIDs in there.
I saved a few hundo by putting in the HIDs myself.
You're telling me a modern car with the headlamps pointed correctly can't run 35watt HIDs? cmon what a joke.
Also there's no retrofit needed for H1s as that is exactly what I have. You get an H1 kit and at worst like my car you may need to drill a 1' round hole in the cover to fish through the ballast wiring. All the kits come with a rubber gasket to fill the hole.
A good slim ballast 35w kit is like 40 bux.
