Full HD: 1920 x 1080@30 fps; HD:1280 x 720@30 fps...you might be able to catch who hit who at that frame rate. I went with a 60 fps model.
Most entertainment is still at 30 fps... CBS, as of 2 seasons ago, still only owned 1 set of HD cameras for football games. That means all but 1 AFC game each week is in SD, upscaled to match your TV.
