Bought some snow tires from these guys back in December, went to pick them up and had to wait forty five minutes for them to find them. They asked for my cell number to notify me when I could drive up and get them, big mistake. After about an hour my cell phone was inundated with advertisers from all over. My call blocker couldn't keep up and had to change my number after a week of nonstop random calls. Do yourself a favor and just buy from anywhere else since they will give you same deal if not better.

^ You could just decline to give them your cell #, but I'm wondering if you're placing blame on the wrong source as it is a little too quick for you to give them the #, have them sell it to spammers (or even merely post it online and have bots pick it up and build a new database with it), and have the buyers spam you to an inundated level, all within an hour.

No... many companies simply pay (or get paid) to share company databases. As soon as it's in the computer it is in the database. His comment seems exaggerated, but your information is flat wrong.

^ Nope, I'm aware that happens ( I mean selling customer info, not real time access to their entire customer transaction database) but you missed the part about "a little too quick" and "within an hour".
