I hate ripoff deals like this. Groupon and https://bensbargains.com always do this. Stuff like Cohen's Eyeglasses. $30 for like $250 of glasses. Except they charge like $1000 for a pair of glasses. So then you end up not using the groupon cause it's a ripoff and that's how they profit.

This sounds exactly like that - charge a ridiculous amount for a "service fee" and shipping to make up for the minor discount.
