These are great little electric kettles, but they are disposable. They will work great for about 2 years and then start to screw up (either the switch or the plug) I have purchased two of them for my mother (she drinks tea in the mornings and this is what she uses for heat the water) For the price you can't beat it, but they won't last. I decided to spend more money and buy one that will hopefully last a lifetime.
