Skip the black-dial version and get the orange. This is the latest version of the famous Seiko Orange Monster, which is widely considered to be one of the best dive watches under $1000, and has a cult-like following among watch enthusiasts. Although if you like the look but don't need an actual dive watch, you can get the Seiko SNZF49 "Baby Monster" for under $150.
