all plastic housing. they also have a pair of 90 lumen for the same price.

Somebody at HD needs to be fired when a flashlight is listed without even stating the battery requirement. Bound to be 3 x AAA but still...

On the plus side, the 150 lumen rating (on fresh batteries) is achievable unlike some of the claims other generics make.

yes, they are 3xAAA. Here is a weird faq. The instructions included in my 90 lumens light states that they dont recommend rechargable batteries.

^ maybe Duracell paid them off to put that in. I agree it is odd, except for an initial higher brightness from primary cells there is no reason why it shouldn't work fine with rechargeables.

Maybe they were afraid someone was going to put 10440 Li-Ion cells in which might fry it... all the time I see people doing it to 1 x AAA lights and not realizing they only get away with it because a single cell is much closer to the forward voltage of an LED, and often people don't get away with it and fry their light.
