Be aware that if your have AV receiver, and it doesn't have HDCP 2.2, you might not even be able to connect this new Xbox One S through your receiver. That is the problem I have -- I have a 6 year old Denon AVR-2310CI -- so I ordered the Xbox One on sale at Best Buy last week. They had the 1TB Tomb Raider bundle for $299 with (1) $50GC (2) Dusk Shadow controller (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controllers/dusk-shadow-wireless-controller), (3) FIFA 2016 game, and (4) the 2 Tomb Raider games that come with the bundle.
Even if you don't care about 4K this console is still worth getting. It's much smaller than the original Xbox One and has a larger internal hard drive so your getting more bang for your buck. Plus unlike the original Xbox One, this version can stand vertically and horizontally making it easier to find space for it.
On a side note: It may even be slightly faster than the original too, but don't quote me on that.
I cant see a difference between 720p and 1080p and now 1080p and 4K. Talk about marketing tactics. Im keeping my 2013 60" Sammy Series 7 until I can see a REAL difference.
