I don't get this. It says total HD capacity 4TB, but supports 6 devices. Why would the total capacity be limited?

If so it's not much of a deal or a backup solution at all.

Perhaps it's expandable, or the extra slots are for parity drives. Seems Pretty expensive for what it does and has.
