I've yet to see a ceramic coating that doesn't simply wear away. If you're scared of teflon, then your options are cast iron or stainless steel.

Wouldn't recommend:

"Followup: After a few months, the porcelain has worn out and the skillet is no longer 'non-stick', not to mention that it finally warped too much to use. Most things get 'sticky', and everything leaves a brown stain that required elbow grease to remove. Not good! I won't buy another one. I will drop my rating from 4 to 2 stars. I at least got a year from all my PTFE-coated skillets."
