A few things:
a) these lamps do not "emit negative ions". This is nonsense. It's a lump of real salt. Salt does not evaporate at any significant rate.

b) These look pretty nice, I own a few.

c) LED bulbs won't work well with this due to a different light emission spectrum. It won't be same warm color.

d) Never put these even in moderately damp conditions. They will attract moisture and start melting. Can be a problem.

I make me laugh every time I see this. I know four people with it and one converted there to LED.

But it's a lump of salt from the Himalayas! Obviously it does have magic powers!

And, Ken2400: THEIRS. Please. You should have mastered the difference between there, they're and their in 3rd grade.

Don't believe all the hype. Putting this in your bathtub is not the same kind of high as "bath salts".

It depends on the lamp still being electrified.
