In for one, informs me that I bought the same thing in late 2014. Two full years is pretty good since I'm too lazy to oil the blades, especially at that price point.
And I've totally given up on cordless, the batteries die way before the blades.

I use mineral oil on clippers, works fine. Biggest thing IMO is take the blade(s) off and clean stray hair out once in a while, or else you'll get clatter and jumping/pulling when it cuts.

I have used 3-in-1 oil on my clipper blades for years so don't pay extra for clipper-specific oil: http://www.homedepot.com/p/WD-40-3-in-1-3-oz-Multi-Purpose-Precision-Lubricant-Liquid-Oil-100353/203732387
Thank you!
