+ $20 per month for each DVR + $10/mo for each normal receiver + $9 communication fee + $3 FiOS delivery fee... I'm sure I'm missing something. Point being, it isn't $80/mo.
^ Use the $350 GC to buy your own STBs or won't it work with cablecard gear? Regardless if you want the functionality the question is whether there's another provider in your area that beats their rates. Usually the rates only go up from there unless you renegotiate them.

Nail on head! Tried negotiating with Comcast it doesn't work. This is a bait and switch scam.

It's triple play. It's not their fault you don't want to play :)
I have the 75/75 FIOS triple play which starts around $135 and ends up costing me like $210 a month after taxes and fees.. I have one HD box, 3 regular non-DVR boxes, and one premium channel (Polish TV)... no movie packages or anything. If I want that 75, I have to get the freaking bundle. I'm out of contract, but I might move so I'll be looking elsewhere most likely. FIOS is wonderful, just freaking expensive.
Yes, all of the providers go up based upon the DVRs and set top boxes. Those are never (at least I haven't seen them) included in the bundle price. For a point of reference, my fios "deal" was $80 for a double play, and had some premium channels for free like this deal. Have a Tivo, so I only need a cable card ($4.99/month), and then the other fees are $2.77/month. total cost: 87.75. When I did Comcast (for one month of pure hell), they had a lot more hidden fees like others are referencing. Anyway, I think it's a pretty good deal, but probably only available to new customers.

The first one always seems cheaper. With Comcast, I didn't need a STB, so the first TiVo (card) was "free". But the second, third, etc, were $7.50/mo.
Can someone tell me what the extra cable cards would cost?
I know the $80 can't be the final number, but it would be nice if they made the other charges easy to find. I went on line, and accepted the offer to chat. After giving information about my location and question, the rep said I'd need to call. "You mean you can't tell me what additional cable cards cost per month?" "No, is there anything else I can help you with?" "Yes, tell me what question you can actually answer." "Have a nice day"
