I need Dave's advice on which kit that doesn't require soldering or chain few diode in series....looks pretty complicated.

That is not a puzzle, Grasshopper. It is only something you do not yet know.

Look closer. You will see some things clearer. Perhaps you will see other things you do not know at all. But the puzzle, Grasshopper, that is to find a way so that others may see you.

GearBest are crooks. Sold me a set of Bluetooth headphones that voice prompts only in Chinese and wouldn't refund it when I wanted to return. Beware.
