Any time I've even entertained these "up to" trade ins...I find that most trade ins are on items that I can sell on for much much more. So not worth it. If you don't care about money, and/or are just too busy to take the time to sell yourself...just not worth it. At least every time I have looked at these trade ins, that has been my experience. They offered me 40 dollars for my old Galaxy Note 2 phone. REALLY??? Sold on Ebay for 225.00 Offered 40.00 for my 64gb Ipad 2. Granted...it's old...but immaculate and works flawlessly. Go on Ebay and look at them 145-200 trending. I actually just decided to keep it. But the trade in was an insult....they always are. Hope it works for you...but for me....no way.
they have gotten careful with their wording. a couple years ago their were offering $100 for ANY working smartphone and when I showed up with a Google G1 (HTC) they did not have it listed in their trade-in list. It took me at least half an hour and escalation to the manager that they finally honored their 'ANY working smartphone' pledge even though they wouldn't take my G1 as a trade. I still got $100 of my iPhone 5s. Have been waiting for a similar offer so I can try the same deal again and get an iPhone 6s.

That's EXACTLY what it is, money for something you're either too busy, or don't know how, to sell yourself. Some people don't want to be bothered with listing an item, correspondence, personal encounters on craigslist or mail fraud on eBay, chargebacks with Paypal, boxing and shipping or driving to some public location, etc, etc.

The ram and HD are worth more to me.
