Amazon has the Total Recall (2012) Mastered in 4K Blu-ray + Digital HD for $5.99 with free shipping on $35+ or with Prime. We should start seeing real 4K Blu-rays sometime this year.

My bigger question will be regarding upgrading my Oppo BD player. How will it upscale my current DVD and BD titles on a 4k TV?

I'll trust they'll be the first one to get it right

I watch 1080p content and even sd content on my 55" sammy 4k and it looks great the 1080p content looks fantastic. I trust that the tv is handling the upscaling ie buy a good unit.

No amount of extra pixels improves a movie. Well, at least not this movie.

Your comment is interesting because yesterday someone posting about a 4K TV said he thought 1080p looked horrible on his 4K set. This type of debate is just gonna heat up this year, and then 8K will be here and we can start all over again

1080p looks fine upscaled, but if you have a (40"+) big set and get real close, it won't appear as crisp... not an issue at normal viewing distance.
