This thing is a great desktop replacement but it's heavy. I would not get it to carry it around. Ram can be easily upgraded to 24GB, or 32GB if you lift the motherboard. It also has a 2nd drive slot, so you can boot off of SSD and still have lots of storage on a 2nd spinning drive. I got mine as a refurb for $550, but this ain't a bad price for new with 1 year warranty. The only negatives I have are:
- somewhat "plasticky" body can feel cheap, but that's a style thing.
- chiclet keyboard. doesn't bother me but some might not like it.
- The VGA port is right where my mouse hand would go. I needed to get a "right angle vga cable" for the 2nd display. HDMI port has same placement.
