Large head for a 1 x 18650 light but throws better because of that. If it's the version as described and pictured, with the rear body tube threads being squared and anodized, this is a good price For What It Is.
The lumen rating is lower than some but closer to accurate. Actual brightness is higher than most 1 x LED, 1 x 18650 format generic lights which is to be expected because that large head and heatsinking fins allow for the LED to run at a higher power level before overheating.
It is good they include a clear picture of what the LED inside looks like. If the flashlight you receive matches the pictures I would say it really has an XM-L2 LED. It also has 5 modes instead of 3, which is consistent with having a high power LED. I also like how they got rid of the silly SOS mode and instead provide an extra low intensity mode.
I have this and love it! it stays on the last setting before turning off, so when you turn it back on later, it does not come on at its highest beam and people around you. Plus, I do love the night vision saving setting that comes in. Buying the needed batteries will set you back to probably to ~$25.
It's brighter than my bike light that I've bought to close to $100...
