Yeah. Free is nice. But it was an utter pain to get it. I had to update the firmware. Then I had to create and activate a Nintendo Network ID. For both these steps I had to agree to 3 or 4 license agreements. Then I had to link the ID to my Mii. Then I think at this point I was able to download the app. I really can't remember all the steps. It took about 30 minutes to get it.

And I had to do it twice, once for each kids 3DS. And Nintendo requires linking to unique ID's which also require unique email accounts. It was a major pain.

I love Nintendo products, but Nintendo's store sucks.

In contrast my Wife and I both have Nooks and use the same Google Play account. We can easily share the account. And when I purchase something the purchase it pushed onto her Nook. I know Nintendo isn't trying to compete with the tablet market, but they need to make it easier.

For the review... kids say it's fun.
