Great expansion to the Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty. This is a standalone game but it really does add to the experience if you own both of them.

This is solely focused on the Protoss campaign, FYI. Wings of Liberty is focused on the Terran, and Heart of the Swarm focused on the Zerg. You can still play MP and custom games with any race on any game, but need to buy separately to play campaigns.
