i can only imagine this draining your cellphone battery faster and/or decreasing its lifespan (especially on those devices without a user replaceable battery).
don't see how this would look good in a car without a large screen cell (Note series from Samsung or 6 plus from apple)...

It might not drain it as much as you think. Most of these things sync up but then go idle.
