If you plan to use the Music Studio, be aware that it may not have the MIDI clock functionality unless you upgrade to "Pro" version for extra $$$. This is unbelievable and essentially cheating. Shame on you Sony!
I've found Adobe Premier Elements to be much more user friendly. I tried Sony in the past and it seemed to be geared more toward professional users than a family footage guy like me.
Movie Studio is almost the same as Vegas. There are some features Vegas has that Movie Studio won't, Sony will introduce a feature in Vegas and it doesn't show up in Movie Studio until a later version. Movie Studio cannot open up Vegas projects but Vegas can open Movie Studio projects.
One of the most affordable ways to edit 4k content. Only reasonable comparable product would be Cyberlink PowerDirector 15 which can do higher frame rates. If you need slow motion type compatibility, you should look at PowerDirector. Howvever CPD even on sale is about 2x this deal. So for the average person, this deal ROCKS and is a no brainer
