I had Shopprunner for a year under a free promotion. Only problem was I never found a need to use it. Always found better deals from other stores not using Shopprunner ( including shipping).
I have T-Mobile so I will probably sign up to see if it has changed.
This is a T-Mobile Tuesday deal. If you have T-Mobile I highly suggest downloading the Tuesday's app so you get your free stuff weekly. I had ShopRunner years ago and used it some, mainly I haven't been using it much as of late because of Prime but I plan to start buying some big items outside of Washington and away from (They tax 10%). So it will be nice to have another option for fast & free shipping. As I was already an existing customer I had to send an email to get the deal but had no problems doing so.
It sounds like one of the better T-Mobile Tuesday deals. I'll try it out and see if it helps with my Christmas shopping. It probably beats the crowded stores.
In case it's not clear above, you can get an American Express card for free, with no membership fee attached. So unless you don't have the credit for a new CC, it seems like you might as well go that route vs. just 6 months through T-Mobile
