I think there was a mistake at the
eBay
site. I found another spec at a different website.
Frequency response: 30~18,000Hz which seems more like it

Why a CR2 battery?

^ There are a few but it's a niche product = expensive, and I'm not certain but think they are 3.6V / 4.2V peak instead of 3.0V.
