When you purchase a Seiko watch, make sure the seller is an authorized Seiko retailer so that you can enjoy the factory 3-year warranty.

The non-hacking automatic movement in this watch (as well as its black-dial sibling, model SKX173) is made in either Malaysia or Singapore. It's then shipped to the Seiko facility in Hong Kong (China) for final assembly. It's a well-reviewed model. The yellow dial is quite different and not universally loved - for most people, it's an acquired taste. The luminescence is fantastic as it is on all Seiko divers watches. The crown guard is well-designed so as not to snag on clothing. The rubber band is very heavy-duty yet easily replaced with any 22mm leather or NATO band.

Street price on this watch (as well as the SKX173) is $225-250 so the $145 price would've been a real deal if it were actually the price at all.
