How's this compare to lifestraw? Anyone have any experience?
I have about a Dozen different water systems including an older "Straw" version ... these filter smaller and offer a container which is a superior option. Regardless ... if used ... they need be cleaned and dried thoroughly. Food grade peroxide and high flow warm air. (This sounds stupid until your thirsty and are drinking through bacterial growth on the suction side.) They will hold up with regular flow for weeks ... but if you let them sit after travels ... cleaning is essential.

I like it better than lifestraw. The Sawyer Mini super lightweight, and it connects inline with my camelback. I took it backpacking on Mt. Whitney this year and it was super easy to use. I'm a fan, and I think it is more versatile than Lifestraw.

"Up to 100,000 gallons ..." which, when you think about it, tells you absolutely nothing.
