Why do I need a curved monitor, especially when you'll probably be feet away from it unlike a TV. These manufacturers are about to catch some from me I SWEAR
IMHO: 1920 x 1080 resolution is not enough for 31.5"
That was my first thought too but looking at how slight the curve is on this, for it to result in the sides being the same distance away as the middle you'd have to sit far enough away from it that 31.5" isn't all that big for 1080p.
Even so I'd rather a higher res monitor or larger panel 1080p TV.
