My father in law has one of these. It wont shake the room like a movie theater but it is definitely a great upgrade over built in TV speakers. I would call it 'worth it' if you want better sound but don't care about it being absolutely perfect like a movie theater.

Its a nice little sound system for the individual that wants the basics. Keep in mind though that because the Bluray is also the the receiver that it is not easy to upgrade in the future.

Samsung product do not last. I had 2 HT systems from them and both failed just a few months after the warrenty. I just got the pioneer vsx-524k posted on bens a week ago.....now this ROCKS!!!!....and only 149

anything is an upgrade over TV speakers, they're useless.
