Not a huge fan of the screw on type of inflator a. While its lighter, you need to pay for these 16g cartridges. I like an inflator that will take 16 or 12g. A box or 10 - 12g will set you back about $5. Good luck buying 16g threaded for under $3 each.

There are multiple 16g purchase options on
Amazon
that are realistically priced, for example:

Hopefully you don't need to inflate tires with this type of emergency device often enough that a couple bucks either way matters.

When biking it happens more often than you would want and it's always nice to lend a hand when you see a fellow biker in need to help. A few dollars one way or another does t matter much but those few dollars add up and that's a reason I look for deals on this site. I've saved money and got plenty of free stuff from here and I appreciate all of it. Thanks, Ben!

Tom Brady can use these in an emergency if the game officials want to check out the football.

There are some other alternatives you might consider. Use wider tires to help against potholes and bring along a regular frame pump. With larger (assuming also heavier) tires you may be slowed down slightly but if it's not a race does it matter? They do weigh a few ounces more but looking at total weight of bike + rider, it's a tiny % weight increase.

Additionally in many cases the tire only loses enough air to need inflated during a ride if there's a hole so you still needed to pull the tire off, patch the tube or put a new tube on. Trying to refill with the hope it doesn't need that done wastes some or all of a cartridge so you need another one.

You can always put some Slime in the tires to plug up holes. But if you ever have a major blowout, Slime is really messy. I just save the money and get a standard hand pump. Give the legs a rest and work out your arms.
