Darn - this does get tempting for replacing another old toy in the den. It has just enough pre-outs to feed an external amp for the main L/R speakers and just enough of the needed inputs for the other older gear. Must control the urge...

This is in the same price range as their Elite series and I'm trying to figure out what the differences are. Seems like a good deal.....

It is an Elite AVR. I have this exact model and love it. I went through 2 other AVRs before this one. I can definitely hear a tonal difference from the previous ones, which weren't slouches.
