so help me out here... I'd love to buy my own receiver system for my vehicle. BUT ad you know, these days the car manufacturers integrate their own sheety receivers with the control center for the climate control, and all of the other system controls. and I'm not even talking about cars with fancy schmantsy upgraded navigation and rear view camera system. just basic control centers. so... how does one use a pioneer receiver like this one in a modern car?

Yes many modern cars do make it next to impossible to upgrade the head unit to an aftermarket one but not all. For example Mitsubishi Mirage and Nissan Versa have normal size radios that can be swapped
