On 3 separate occasions, OnTrac has fraudulently changed the status of tracking to delivered when in fact it was not (the tracking would show being delivered, but in Commerce, CA, which is probably their warehouse). Now, you're probably thinking what does this have to do with ? Well, in those instances, does very little to absolutely nothing to follow up (some of their representatives will try to refer you to contact/followup with the carrier directly), even while being a Premier member, where one of the benefits clearly advertise "Free 3-day-or-sooner expedited shipping" (the orders all consisted of items that did fall under Premier). Compare this to Prime, where their customer service will immediately dispatch a replacement shipment and take care of following up with whoever the shipping carrier may be (based on past experiences).
Even as of this writing, a hybrid 1TB drive has not been delivered (another/different company work order) and is still in the nether realm of OnTrac for over a month, with (once again) advising to wait it out. Keep in mind (for those reading this from the southern California area), the distance between origin and destination for the package is from the Whittier/City of Industry warehouse of to Irvine (roughly a 50 mile distance).
Bottom line is that Premier for free is great if they actually do deliver within their advertised "Free 3-day-or-sooner expedited shipping" window, but is definitely not worth $50 if they do not followup when items are not.
