You didn't miss much mate, I bought one of these POS 6 months ago and by buying one I mean 3 until I received one that actually held a charge. Now the 3rd one I bought no longer works and was sporadic at best. Horrible battery and syncing performance when it was in use. Summary: You sir just saved 10 bucks.
You must've had some seriously bad luck. I've got two of these, and they're probably the best controllers I own. The battery life is actually the best out of every controller I own, beating even the Xbox One and PS4's controllers. And I've not had any issues syncing the controller that I didn't have with Wii remotes, so I can't really blame the controller for those.
