    Seems like it's a better idea to get it from BB instead of AMZN. I read that your can request bootloader unlock for non-AMZN prime Moto e4 from Moto. You're SOL if you buy it from AMZN. I could be wrong.

    You are correct, you can't unlock the bootloader on a "with Lockscreen Offers & Ads" version and it is $179.99 for the "Standard Version - Without Offers & Ads" which you can unlock the bootloader.
