I don't believe they are trying to sell these things, quick bring the buggy wipes back! All I remember is they left your face a bloody mess if you weren't careful. Good riddance, for that money you can buy a lot of Bic's.

I don't know about this one in particular but a double edge safety razor is the only thing I use. Way less irritation than those other razors with 16 blades. I guess you might cut your self if you have skin like a girl. I might get myself once a year but that is about it.

Being a cheap @ss I really wanted to make the switch to the more affordable safety razor but found them to irritate my skin if I shave everyday. IMHO it takes more effort to get a close shave with a safety razor than it does with the expensive quad blades. I do like the safety razor if I haven't shaved in a couple days because they don't get clogged like the multiblade razors do.

You're not a real man until you shave with one of these bad boys: http://www.amazon.com/Dovo-Quality-Hollow-Carbon-Handle/dp/B002P9EQ4A/ref=fs_patw_1

I actually do use a straight razor once in a while, but you gotta be slow and take your time. First, I wash my face and use a hot water soaked towel to soften it up. Then I rub in a moisturizing cream as a base, and top it off with heated shave cream. Then I shave with the blade... slowly, making sure to stretch the skin with each pass.

Once you've done it a few times, it's easy to give yourself a shave that's smoother than a baby's a$s, with little or no cuts. It takes me about 20 minutes. Just be sure to sharpen the blade before every use.

This is my primary shaver now, it works reasonably well. Expensive cartridges will give you a slightly better shave with less effort, but the price difference is like a factor of 20. So I choose American-made DE blades for this Merkur shaver and it's quite all right.
