This is definitely a good deal; been with Logitech for years and they never disappoint. Unfortunately, just picked myself up a mechanical keyboard a few weeks ago :)
The 710 has cherry blue mx mechanical versus cherry mx brown for the 710+.
The blue is more old style where as the brown is quieter. Not really that quiet. With mechanical you have to press down all the way. We found the new g910 with romer-g's to be more sensitive and less push down distance.
The plus on the Blue is replacements keys are available to customize and or replace.
The 710's both have a white led backlight brightness adjustable with a separate WASD zone. No on board program-ability or firmware. Just software to program the "g-keys"
$50 is what you pay for an unknown manufacture.
For a basic mechanical this is a solid performer. Good reviews everywhere!
Been waiting for a good deal on a gaming keyboard for my son. Looks like it has very good reviews, and I've always been pretty happy with Logitech products. Nice!

I did pick up the g502 today though at 50% off. My g500 is still going strong but couldnt pass that up.
