I would think too cheap even at list to be anything, but it has (a lot) of very good reviews. Old, used cast iron skillets go for $30 at flea markets.

I bought my Lodge 12" skillet new years ago, at a discount store, and it's used daily. Smooth bottom, same as new. I've seen them at thrift stores used at horribly inflated prices. The really, really old ones may have more value, but I feel they take advantage of the hype. I'm going to buy a 12 one for my son at

. I have looked at stores already and the bottoms are smooth.

Lodge cast iron is still making their products in the USA...the only cookware manufacturer that I know of that still does...
