Vizio M series.... dell or otherwise is a great alternative. webOS on the LG is nice... but really just get a roku ir chrome cast and don't worry bout the smart functions. consider this: what happens in a few yrs when the tv is still working just fine but the smart features for the given tv model are no longer being updated by the tv manufacturer? the apps may no loge work with the online service they pull from. then you'll be needing an external hdmi device anyway to still access youtube or Netflix or whatever stops working. food for thought. smart not necessarily so smart in all cases.
The UF6450 Line is recent and ed towrds "sales" at holiday time. target="_blank">http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-brand/lg doesn't list any test data. Check the UF6800 line which is most likely to have the same panel and specs.
There is also debate whether it is hdcp2.2 and hdmi 2.0 compliant online but a few have reported being able to stream netflix 4k so likely hdcp 2.2.
The native panel is 60hz and IPS. IPs have lower contrast range but wider view angles for LCD's versus a VA panel like samsungs.
From personal experience I am not a fan of the webos LG. Basic tv functions like input sometimes take a few seconds as LG prioritizes its internal system over your commands.
But With $300 kohls Kash it's a sweet deal. The wife will gladly spend it there.
Wow! $300 in Kohls cash and you get 1000 YES2YOU reward points ($50). Amazing deal for a 65" 4K TV so I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger. Not sure how i'm going to explain this to the wife when a 65" TV shows up...Merry Christmas? ... lol

yes2you rewards is Kohls Loyalty Rewards. So $350 kohls kash then.
Probably the best deal of the season this year! Congrats and Enjoy! $650 net for 65 inch 4k premium brand. No explaining needed!

If we don't see you posting after next week, we know she has chop your fingers.
folks... check the reviews on tvs first before pulling the trigger! you have to live with the decision for years. not all tvs are created equal and many are slow and laggy when it comes to changing channels and running "smart" apps. some have betyer screens that other with better viewing angles and color saturation. know what yiu are getting fornyourbparticular use! for example for a bedroom tv viewed straight on- it may be ok if the side viewing angles are not as clear. look at a site like RTINGS or CNET. and customer reviews first. every good deal is not a good deal if you understand the technical details first.
I do not work for any of the companies I mentioned by the way :-)

I agree on rtings and then cnet. I used these 2 sites myself after literally going through 3 - 60-65" 3 tv's. (best buy fortunately made easy return) As it turned out, the same thing I concluded was technically there on rtings.com. Other review sites and opinions are more suspicious. It is really hard to sort all the ends and outs of tv's especially with 4k. 4k will hopefully be better stabilized within the next year or so.
Most content is still 1080p . So for a TV a 4k needs to have the best up-scaling processing. But higher rez requires 4x processing power.
Now even more so than ever, You have to really pinpoint your use, whether it be for Tv/Netflix, Gaming or PC monitor use. 4k seems best suited for Pc up close but Lag becomes an important criteria. If you want play high def games better invest a lot in a super i-7 rig with dual gtx 980's.
There is no longer a 1 TV/monitor does all out there right now.

Yeah 65" is huge. "Might" fit in a SUV but I can't see it fitting in any sedan or hatchback.

I don't know but when it's delivered to your home, invite all the ghetto dogs over and we'll help make a determination.
