I do NOT recommend FreedomPop. Got burned really good. Still applying ointment months later.

Yeah, FP is a mess. Get this, the free service option comes with no phone support...You have to login to the support site and create a ticket...one problem, you can't login...I've founds posts in the support forums where it hasn't worked since September. If you're a free customer, NO SUPPORT FOR YOU!

If you low expectations, and another phone to use, the Free account is usable...Data works, text is 99% reliable, but phones calls are very iffy...if it even works, there will be terrible lag even with a high speed wifi connection.

Today, my account is suspended because I've used all my data...I login to my account, I have 395Mb of data left...lol...no support..I am skra-ewed unless it fixes itself.

I get support from FP. Just have to call correctly. Anywho, the thing is you really don't need to buy their refurb phones anymore.

I bought the Moto G4 and use my .01 sim card from them. It is acceptable for a non-talking bachelor like me.

Heh, your current avatar seems to fit your last sentence perfectly. Is Otto Mann (from the Simpsons) still a bachelor?

My dad bought this phone a while ago. This particular phone sucks because it doesn't support more than 64GB micro SD cards and it couldn't be rooted at the time (dunno if that's changed today). It has relatively poor battery capacity as well. He ended up not using it enough to meet the 5MB/mo mimimum requirement and FreedomPop dropped his free service. Waste of money.

^ How is that a big deal on a free phone service? I mean 64GB mSD holds a lot of stuff, and like the prepaid phones you shouldn't expect to root it, and 5MB per month... all I'd have to do is turn off wifi and let my apps update themselves a fraction as often as they want to.

Count yourselves lucky. At least FP is not adopting United Customer Service Policies anytime soon or you will get a knock on the door.
