We went through 3 types of these infrared and ceramic heaters this past winters and ended up returning them all. They might work if you're looking to warm up a very small bedroom with the doors closed, but overall they're useless even as spot heaters in a larger room.

^ 1500W is 1500W no matter the type of heater. You may need to wire more circuits to the room so you can use more than one in parallel.
