I have one when Ben posted the same sale months ago. It's a great little machine.

The key to cooking in a pot of boiling water is get the water boiling before putting the cold eggs in to shock them, instead of heating both at once.

They''ll peel much easier as a result, though every now and then this can cause one to crack slightly, but I'd rather have occasional cracks and be able to peel them much easier.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... this stoopid thing is a non solution to a non problem. it would be like buying an appliance that can only cook baked potatoes when you can just use your toaster oven or microwave if you don't need crispy potato skin.

^ Yeah but being
staples
, I figure they're trying to suggest that you can cook eggs on your desk at work. Now if you had a potato cooker too, you could make tater salad, get a George Foreman grill involved to do burgers, and have it all ready by lunch break.

Use one of these and then report back. I hate to evoke the notion of Apple, but sometimes there's a device that you use and think, "I don't know how I lived without this." Cook 7 eggs in this little fella and you'll never use a pot to hard-boil eggs again.
