Pretty sweet deal as the 6600K is the current best choice for gamers and is usually $230 or more alone. I've used Gigabyte motherboards in the past with no issues. I expect this deal to sellout

FYI, the motherboard is currently sold out but they'll have a restock of the motherboards at the end of the week.

How does this work? I just placed the i5 in my cart, but it doesn't mention anything about a mobo? Am I missing something?

This makes a great reason to stand-up and look at this i5. Normally with just the CPU at $250, and then $110 for such a Z170 mobo, it's crazy money if just looking for single GPU Gaming machine. Look at the FX8370E bundled with AMD 970 mobo at like $190 it is still a acceptable contender. For the few FpS the FX relinquishes to this i5, the percentage of cost (still some 43% higher at this deal) vs. real world gain in FpS is never in a Intel's build favor. It's purely responsive sensation to the marketing of "we win"; although considering that extra $80 can bump you into a whole other league of GPU. The only proper contemplation for the Intel side is the ongoing longevity of LGA1151 socket, and DDR4 outmaneuvers a good portion of any savings over the long term.

If you consider this i5 surrenders funds that could be used for better GPU that provide much more FpS than the i5 can it not sensible if in a fix budget, and most builds are. Instead to having to settle with a 960/380, working the AMD side you might find the $80 savings anting-up to a R9 390. Though I concede at this time going AM3+ and DDR3 is not a lucrative situation. However if you aren't able to do this deal and are paying $360 for i5 & Z170 mobo, it's just so out of bounds it amazing Intel can charge what they do.
