This is the 5 quart LUX (high pressure only). It comes in 5 and 6 quart models. The DUO (low and high pressure) comes in 5, 6 and 8 quart models. And there's a bluetooth enabled 6 quart model.
It's a great price for this model but the DUO 6 or 8 qt are probably better picks. The DUO6 was on sale at for $68 last Thursday, it could come up again...
This is actually both pressure AND SLOW cooker (pressure cooker, sauté/browning, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer & warmer). However DUO is not on sale (6qt for $69)
These things are awesome, I've got the higher-end 6-quart IP-DUO60, which has a few more pressure options, and is also currently on some sort of deal for just under 70 bucks (seems worth the extra $$).
I keep hearing how awesome these things are, but I have both a slow cooker and a pressure cooker I'm happy with. Are these that great, or just great for people who don't already have these appliances?
Pressure cookers do cook much faster than just a pot on the stove. But so do microwave ovens...
