In for one....I feel like a baller! When I selected my store in Maryland - the starting price was already 12% off at $699. With the 10% off and including tax the total without rebate came out to be 666 dollars and some change. So if I do succesfully land the rebate the total cost for me will be 616 dollars. This will be a nice addition to my garage next to my Husqvarna rider.
Amazon
has great reviews on it as well. I just hope it is able to handle the smaller snow falls under 5 inches.

Rebate does not work with purchases from Lowes.

Wow...good catch... Lowe's does not qualify as a authorized Husqvarna local dealer...what a bummer- and I really do need a snow blower!

Most manufactures starting to install chinese engine call Stormforce in their lower end model, in return of more eye catching and better profit. What wrong with those engine?. carb, engine horse power are over rated, engine wear, hence oil change recommendation and it color.

This size should have no problem with 5" snows, except the type where it sleets or rains into it so your snow is really 5" of ice. Storm Force is a LTC designed, Chinese manufactured engine. Most B&S are the same way. Their reliability is great compared to years ago, but their tolerance of stale fuel is terrible compared to years ago.

In other words it'll run twice as many years but need twice as many carb rebuilds to get there, IF you use fresher gas. It'll need a carb rebuild every 100 hours or couple years if you let stale fuel sit in it past winter, except that you have it a bit easier with a snow blower because they need the ability for a richer choke setting to start in cold weather and this means if it starts running too lean you can just leave the choke on a little to buy some time till the next carb rebuild.

This particular featured model doesn't have any specs to indicate it is steerable, meaning it has the ability to turn individual wheels to do so which is a feature that starts to pop up in this price range. Heated handles... never saw a need for them. It's a lot easier to keep your hands warm than your face when your blower is throwing snow around.
